I am Dr. Annalaa d’ Diors—a Black Hebrew Israelite woman living in America, a reality shaped by the legacy of the transatlantic slave trade. For much of my life, I identified as African American. Yet, through study, reflection, and spiritual awakening, I uncovered a deeper truth about my heritage. Today, I embrace that truth with pride, purpose, and responsibility.
Like so many families, mine has been piecing together our story from fragments left behind by history. We know that the first enslaved Africans arrived at Old Point Comfort, Virginia, in 1619. More than 400 years have passed since that moment—four centuries of displacement, silence, and unanswered questions. And yet, the truth has endured.
We also know that the Bible, as it has been presented, has been altered and used as a tool of control—particularly against the Hebrew Israelites. I urge you to dig deeper. Study for yourself who the true children of Israel were. You may come to understand that identity theft is far more than stolen credit or paperwork; an entire nation had its identity taken. After 400 years, that nation is awakening—remembering who it truly is.
Part of my work is devoted to helping Black Hebrew Israelites reconnect with their ancient tribal lineage. Until we understand our roots, it isn’t easy to know what gives us strength, direction, and purpose. Scripture tells us there were twelve tribes of Israel—and whether you realize it or not, your bloodline is connected to one of them. This is where our journey begins.
Through the series “Identifying Your Tribe,” you will be guided to discover your dominant tribe—because when we are connected to one, we are connected to all. In the coming months, I will share the knowledge I have uncovered about each of the twelve tribes, beginning with the tribe of Reuben. This information is designed to help you see yourself through a deeper spiritual lens—one that may transform how you move, lead, and succeed in every area of life.
